BABYSITTER INDICTED FOR SCALDED TODDLER

          Today, Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Linda M. Gross, age 46, for one count Felonious Assault (F-2), one count Endangering Children (F-2), and one count Endangering Children (F-3), for a total of 3 counts, in connection to the bathtub scalding of a two year old toddler in her care. On January 20, 2011, the toddler was attempting to get to his potty chair when he soiled his diaper. Shortly thereafter, the sitter allegedly immersed the boy in scalding water in the tub. Arraignment for Gross is scheduled for this Friday, March 25, 2011 at 1:30 pm in courtroom 1A.

MIDDLE SCHOOL JANITOR INDICTED FOR RAPE OF STUDENT

            Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned a four count indictment on James Livingston, age 67, for two counts of Rape (F-1) and two counts of Corruption of a Minor (F-4).   Livingston was the former janitor at Walnut Springs Middle school located at 888 E. Walnut Street, Westerville, OH 43081. Between August of 1996 to January of 1997, it is alleged that Livingston, on more than one occasion, sexually assaulted a middle school male child attending the school.
            “This student was allegedly abused by a long time employee of his own school”, O’Brien said. Arraignment of Livingston will be set for a later date.

MOM INDICTED FOR ABUSE OF 10 MONTH OLD SON

            Today, Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned a four count indictment on Monique Curry, age 33, for one count of Felonious Assault (F-2), one count of Endangering Children (F-2), one count of Endangering Children (F-3), and one count of Domestic Violence (M-1).   On February 23, 2011, Monique Curry took her ten-month son to Nationwide Children’s Hospital for an injury to his eye. While at the hospital, the staff admitted the baby due to other serious injuries discovered during his examination. It is alleged that the biological mom had repeatedly punched the baby and spanked him with a belt.         “It’s unfortunate this case involves an innocent baby being beaten by its own mother”, O’Brien said. Arraignment will be set for March 23, 2011, at 1:30 pm in courtroom 1A.
