TEENAGER ACCUSED IN TWO MURDERS INDICTED

            Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announces that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Anthony Lamar Wadsworth, age 19, for one count Aggravated Robbery with Specification (F-1), one count Aggravated Murder with Specification (unclassified), three counts of Murder with Specification (unclassified), and two counts of Having Weapon While Under Disability (F-3), for a total of seven counts. Wadsworth is allegedly connected to two murders that occurred between January 13th and 17th, 2012. On January 13th, victim Wayne Pender was murdered during a robbery that occurred at an apartment located at 2393.5 West Broad Street. A co-defendant, Keith Hill, age 47 has also been indicted in connection to this homicide. Four days later, a fight broke out in the evening hours at 5728 Joshua Place and Dennis Kiser was shot and killed. On January 18th, Wadsworth was arrested by CPD SWAT and during the arrest, while attempting to flee, Wadsworth was shot and taken to the hospital for his injuries. “If found guilty on these charges, the defendant faces a potential sentence of life in prison”, O’Brien stated. Arraignment for Wadswrth is set for Monday, January 30, 2012 at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2A at 345 S. High Street.

ERIC BOWLES CHARGED WITHAGGRAVATED VEHICULAR HOMICIDE IN DEATH OF BEXLEY SCHOOL TEACHER MOLLY L. DAVIS

            Attached is the indictment of Eric Bowles under case no. 12CR-258 in connection with the 3-15-11 automobile fatality at Torrence and High in which Bexley teacher Molly L. Davis was the victim.  The defendant Bowles is charged with Aggravated Vehicular Homicide by means of recklessly operating his motor vehicle northbound on High St. in a reckless manner, running the red light at Torrence and High, and striking the vehicle of Ms. Davis broadside as she entered the intersection westbound in making a left turn with the green light.  Bowles will be arraigned on 2-8-12 in the new courthouse at 345 S. High St courtroom 2-B

MAN INDICTED IN NEW ALBANY AND WORTHINGTON US BANK ATM SKIMMER SCHEMES

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announces that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against John Doe AKA Ernino P. Perez, age 30, for two counts (F-3) Identity Fraud, two counts (F-5) Possessing Criminal Tools, and two counts (F-4) Unauthorized Use of Property, for a total of six counts. It is alleged that Perez placed credit card skimmers on US Bank atm’s in an attempt to access card number and account information from atm’s located at 688 High Street in Worthington and outside the Halley Gallery at 270 E. Main Street in New Albany. “We have been aware for some time about the use of these skimmer devices across the country and have had prosecutors from our office educated by the Secret Service on their use. This case though is the first time we have prosecuted the occurrence in Franklin County”, O’Brien stated.
