Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Brent Hodges, age 23, for allegedly exposing himself to young girls and soliciting sex in Upper Arlington between April 13th and May 25th, 2011. Hodges has been indicted for three counts Public Indecency (M-1), three counts Disseminating Matter Harmful to Juvenile (F-4), two counts Attempted Public Indecency (M-3), and one count Importuning (F-3), for a total of nine counts. The female victims were between 7 to 12 years old. O’Brien stated, “These young ladies did an excellent job of reporting behaviors to their parents and to the police that they knew were not acceptable”. O’Brien commended the police for their investigation and apprehension of this suspect. Arraignment for Hodges is set for next Wednesday, June 8th, 2011, at 1:30 pm in courtroom 1A. |

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned a multi-count indictment against four individuals allegedly involved in the smuggling of heroin into a secured area of the Franklin County Correction Center II, located at 2460 Jackson Pike, Columbus, OH 43223. Between March 1st and 4th, 2011, Franklin Legg, who was being held at the jail, allegedly conspired to receive heroin being smuggled into the jail that was being transported in pairs of white boxer shorts by Emily Mollett, Phillip Jessie, and Michael Vansickle. The charges range from Illegal Conveyance of Drugs of Abuse onto the Grounds of a Detention Facility (F-3), Trafficking in Heroin (F-3), Trafficking in Heroin (F-4), Possession of Heroin (F-3), and Possession of Heroin (F-4). O’Brien commended Detective John Dillon of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office once again for his continued monitoring and investigation of these crimes. |

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned a ten count indictment against Michael Stechison, age 22, for his alleged involvement in a string of robberies that occurred between April 30th and May 16th, 2011. Stechison has been indicted for five counts Robbery (F-3) and five counts Robbery (F-2). The robberies were at the following locations:
April 30th Starbucks/2051 West Henderson Road/Upper Arlington
May 5th Graeters Ice Cream/1534 West Lane Avenue/Upper Arlington
May 12th Caribou Coffee/2468 Northwest Boulevard/Upper Arlington
May 14th Speedway/1790 West Henderson Road/Columbus
May 16th Pizza Hut/2052 Crown Plaza Drive/Columbus
O’Brien stated, “Each of these businesses had employees who were threatened during these robberies”. O’Brien commended UAPD and CPD for their investigation and apprehension of this serial robber. Arraignment is set for June 3rd, 2011 at 1:30 pm in courtroom 1A. |
