• Appointed by the Chief Justice of Ohio to represent Ohio at a national conference in April 1989 in Philadelphia. The purpose of the conference was to study the impact of substance abuse cases on the nation's court systems. Report was issued in June 1989.

• Served as the Senior Warden for St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Westerville, Ohio.

• Currently on the Advisory Board of the Syntaxis Group Homes for Children (16 and 17 year olds), serving hundreds of orphaned and abandoned children so they may attain skills in independent living.
