with the 337th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. Also served at Naha Air
Base, Okinawa with the 16th Fighter Interceptor Squadron.
- Currently a Retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserve.

- Appointed by the Chief Justice of Ohio to represent Ohio at a national
conference in April 1989 in Philadelphia. The purpose of the conference
was to study the impact of substance abuse cases on the nation's court
systems. Report was issued in June 1989.
- Served two terms as a member of the Governor's Council on Juvenile
Justice.
- Member of the Columbus Metropolitan Club and has served as its
President.
- Served as the Senior Warden for St. Matthew's Episcopal Church,
Westerville, Ohio.
- Chairman of the Central Branch, Y.M.C.A., 1979.
- Past Member and Director of the Kiwanis Club of Northern Columbus.
- Belonged to Columbus Jaycees, Chaired its Education Committee and was selected
as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men in Columbus. Also appeared in
Outstanding Young Men of America (1969).
- Member of the Columbus Airport and Aviation Commission, 1972-1979.
- Member of the Board of Trustees of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra,
1976-1979.
- Currently on the Advisory Board of the Syntaxis Group Homes for
Children (16 and 17 year olds), serving hundreds of orphaned and
abandoned children so they may attain skills in independent living.

- Admitted to the practice of law in Ohio by the Ohio Supreme Court in
1960, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio
in 1963, and the United States Supreme Court in 1992.
