Mercury Thermometer Exchange /
Drop-off Program in Franklin County

Franklin County residents have several locations where they can drop-off mercury thermometers in exchange for a free digital thermometer while supplies last.  Mercury even in the smallest amounts is hazardous.  Take this opportunity to properly dispose of mercury thermometers in your home.  If you have any questions about mercury or mercury sources or to dispose of mercury in your home, please call the Franklin County Board of Health at 462-3928 or the Columbus Health Department
at 645-5625.
