Shingles Vaccine

Shingles is a painful skin rash caused by the same virus that causes Chicken Pox, and anyone who has had Chicken Pox may get Shingles. It is far more common in people 50 and older, and in people whose immune systems are weakened because of a disease.

The Zoster (Shingles) vaccine is recommended for all people 60 years of age and older. It is a one-time shot and the cost $154.00. A $15.00 assessment fee will also be charged at the time of your visit.

You can schedule an appointment to get your Zoster vaccine by calling Bonnie Walker, R.N. at 614-462-6674 or by emailing her at bswalker@franklincountyohio.gov. The shot is only available at the Bexley clinic located at the Jeffrey Mansion, 165 North Parkview Avenue by appointment only.
