Summer Safety

Summer is here and the Board of Health hopes that you and your family stay safe.  Below are some hot topics for the summer months as it regards to safety.  Click on each to find out more information.

Project Cool Down, a program aimed at helping low-income working families cope with the high cost of cooling their homes.  The program runs through Oct. 31and will provide a one time payment to anyone with a child living in the household and whose income falls between 176 and 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level.  For more info contact Job and Family Services at 614-719-8734.

Seniors staying cool:  The Franklin County Senior Options are giving fans away to seniors over 60 years old.  Eligibility can be determined by calling Franklin County Senior Option at 614-462-6200.  Senior can also beat the heat by visiting "cooling centers" at local senior center, private clubs, churches, libraries and elsewhere for details call 614-462-6200
