Member - Rev. Dr. Michael Bean

Rev. Dr. Michael Bean is the pastor at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, the oldest African American church in Franklin County. He has proudly served this congregation for 20 years.

Rev. Bean is the thirteenth of nineteen children. While growing up in Bermuda, the church always provided a sense of identity and centeredness for him. Sensing a hunger to serve others, Bean went on to be a United Nations volunteer, a counselor to troubled youth, and then went into the ministry. He is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University where he received a BS in Psychology, and a graduate of United Theological Seminary where he received a Master’s of Divinity and a Master’s of Religious Education. In 1994, Bean returned to United Theological Seminary and received a Doctor of Ministry Degree.
