Member - Annette Scott
The Franklin County Children Services Board recently welcomed new board member Annette Scott to its body.
Service to children and families has been a part of Annette Scott’s life for decades. Scott has been a foster parent for Franklin County Children Services for the past 18 years caring for over 50 teenage girls. Scott was honored for her dedication to children in 2000 when she was named Franklin County Children Services’ Foster Parent of the Year. She is also a former President of the Foster Parent Association, a role she held for seven years.
Scott retired from General Motors in 2006 after 30 years of employment. Presently, Scott is employed by The Ohio State University but continues her passion of helping teenage children through foster parenting. A member of the agency’s Citizens Advisory Committee for the last seven years, Scott was elected as chair in March 2009. As chair, she fills a designated spot on the agency board. “I am eager to touch the lives of children and families through my new role as a member of the Franklin County Children Services’ board. It is an honor and privilege but also a responsibility that I take very seriously,” said Scott.
