He is a regional vice president of AFSCME Ohio Council 8. A former teacher, Moore was also code enforcement officer for the city of Columbus. Moore has held a variety of progressively responsible union positions and has developed innovative programs to improve relationships between labor and management in the city of Columbus, and to offer mediation, consumer and quality of life services for union members.
Moore's community service includes work with United Way and Traveler's Rest Missionary Church, where he is chairman of the trustee board and a male chorus member. "My goal on the Board is to make sure that Franklin County Children Services continues to provide the top-of-the-line services to the children and families of our community that they always have," Moore said. "I would also enjoy helping to foster a positive relationship between labor and management at the agency."
