The Story Behind the Legend
Simon was a happy dog with a happy life. He had a nice family and a carefree routine. . . until one day when he spent the evening in a cage. The next morning he wakes up with the strangest sense of deja vu: he seems to be living the same day over again. The next morning it happens again, and then again. Soon, no matter what he does, he's stuck in Browndog Day. He has all day everyday to think about this curse, and soon comes to the realization that he is doomed to spend the rest of eternity in the same place, looking at the same bars and sleeping on the same hard floor EVERY day. However, one fateful day, something changed. A nice family stood at Simon's cage and looked at him. This has never happened before. . . what could this mean? They left for a minute, but then they came back. Something was happening here, the cycle was breaking. The family took him out, spoke kindly to him, and pet him. It was at this moment that Simon realized that the only way to break the spell is if someone falls in love with him before 7pm. He went home with them, turned on the charm as high as he could, and waited for morning. He awoke in the morning on a nice, warm, soft bed, surrounded by kindness. IT WORKED! Simon's time has started again, and never more will he be stuck in Browndog Day. SIMON But the curse still lingers, as every February 2nd hundreds of beautiiful brown dogs, like the ones below, are still living in Browndog day. And as you now know, the only way to break the curse is to fall in love with one shelter dog. . .
