  • In 2008 the shelter provided a safe haven for more than 13,000 dogs and puppies.
  • More than 2,800 dogs were returned to their owners.
  • A total 3,908 dogs and puppies were adopted, rescued or rehomed. 
  • The shelter performed more than 3,800 spay or neuter surgeries, including all unaltered dogs prior to adoption, as well as hundreds of additional low cost surgeries for the community.
  • Each year our dog wardens visit thousands of school children and adults teaching them how to be safe around dogs.
