A Message From Baby Girl

Hello,

My name is Baby Girl.  Several months ago my mom and dad decided to have me put to sleep.  I’m confused by this because I felt really healthy other than a little ear infection.  I heard them saying that they are divorcing and neither of them wanted me any more.  I don’t know why, because I sure do love them.

Luckily, several caring people from the vet’s office helped me to find a foster home.  I was whisked away to my new foster family.  My foster family was worried about me because I am blind.  Boy did I show them that there’s nothing to worry about.  I was zipping through their house, up and down their stairs and outside into the back yard at the blink of an eye.  I think they were amazed at how well I can do.  I have been blind for a while due to a snake bite to the nose.  I adapted quickly and was a good sport about it.

My foster family, the vet and I have figured out that I have food allergies.  This would be the cause of my old ear infection.  I only eat hypoallergenic foods without beef or wheat now.  It seems to be working because my ears are now in tip top shape.

I guess I need to cut through the chase and let you know that I’m looking for my forever home.  I heard the vet say that there’s no reason to put someone to sleep that has a tail that wags like mine does.  I have to agree with this guy because I have a lot of life left in me.  I’m only six years old you know.  I am a black lab mix that weighs 46 pounds.  I would love an owner who would love me, hug me, kiss me, brush me, clean my ears, keep an eye on my eyes and let me have lots of time to explore outside.  I have one keen nose and my favorite thing to do (other than to eat my meals and treats) is to sniff and explore outside.  I could do it for hours, so a fence would be great.  Please give me a consideration; I really am a great young lady.  I am very socialized.  I attend BarkPark and Doggie Daycare.  Yesterday for my sixth birthday my foster brother, sister and I went swimming at the Grandview pool.  I love having fun!  Oh, and don’t worry about my eyes, they are a beautiful light blue color and if it doesn’t bother you, it doesn’t bother me.

Fondly,

Baby Girl J
