While the economy is going down, the number of dogs
turned into the shelter is going up. When people
lose their homes, often they have no choice but
to bring their dogs to the shelter. Lately, this has happened so frequently that shelter folk have coined a new
term for them- "foreclosure dogs."

The saddest part about this is the dogs are often
so well mannered, friendly, and sweet, since the
only reason for surrendering the dog is financial.

This is the case with Winston and Jack, two foreclosure
victims who are still here and waiting for a
new home. They are featured on channel 4 on the 11 o' clock news
