Shelter Medical Program

All dogs receive medical exams and care from our caring staff of licensed veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

Prior to adoption, all dogs are given a medical exam, vaccinations for rabies, distemper, parvo, parainfluenza, hepatitis, and bordatella; a heartworm test and preventative, and treament for fleas, ticks and internal parasites as needed.  Some young puppies may be too young to receive all necessary rabies vaccinations prior to adoption.

All female dogs and puppies are spayed, and all male dogs and puppies are neutered prior to adoption.

All dogs are also microchipped and registered to the new owner at the time of adoption.
