Public Meetings
General Session: The Board of Commissioners meets in General Session at 9 a.m. each Tuesday in the Commissioners' Hearing Room on the 26 th Floor of the Franklin County Courthouse. These meetings are open to the public. If you would like to address the board in support of or in opposition to resolution under consideration, please submit a General Session Speaker Slip to the Clerk of the Board before the start of the 9 a.m. session. 2008 General Session Agenda Archive Televised Meetings: Each General Session is broadcast on Government Television Channel 3 (GTC-3). General Sessions are broadcast each Thursday at 8:00 p.m., Friday at 10 a.m., Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Monday at 12 noon. Visit GTC-3 for a complete GTC-3 programming schedule. Commissioner BriefingThe Board of Commissioners meets in Briefing each Thursday at 9 a.m. on the 26th Floor of the Franklin County Courthouse. If you would like to address the board in regard to a non-General-session agenda item, please complete and submit a Briefing Speaker Slip to the receptionist prior to the start of briefing. Commissioners' Weekly Agenda Each week, the Board of Commissioners posts events and meetings that will be attended by more than one commissioner and therefore qualify as meetings that must be posted publicly. Commissioners' Weekly Agenda for: November 8, 2009 through November 14, 2009.
Rezoning Meetings: Rezoning meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m. in the Commissioners' Hearing Room on the 26th Floor of the Franklin County Courthouse. If you would like to speak at a Rezoning Meeting, please complete, and submit the Planning Commission Speaker Slip prior to the start of the meeting. Planning Commission Meetings:Planning Commission Meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. in the Courthouse Auditorium. If you would like to speak at an Annexation and Rezoning Meeting, please complete, and submit the Planning Commission Speaker Slip prior to the start of the meeting. Hospital Commission Meetings: Hospital Commission Meetings are held the last Wednesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. in the East Conference Room of Memorial Hall, 280 E. Broad St. If you would like more information on the Hospital Commission, contact Franklin Hirsch. Annual Budget Hearings Budget hearings are held each November.
