About the Economic Development Division

The Economic Development Division is charged with strengthening Franklin County’s economy, and creating job opportunities for our 1.1 million residents. 

As a Frankin County Board of Commissioners agency, and an integral part of the Economic Development & Planning Department, our mission is to organize growth supporting environmental sustainability, social equity and economic vitality to all communities with interest in Franklin County

Franklin County is well positioned geographically; strategically accessible to Interstates 70, 71, 270 and 670, and offers a diverse mix of urban, suburban and rural development opportunities.
