Homeless Program
Program
Purpose:
The purpose of the Homeless Program is to provide emergency
shelter and transitional support to permanent housing programs and resources
to the Franklin County homeless population and those at risk of becoming
homeless so they can obtain temporary shelter and permanent housing.
Program Services:
Emergency shelter operating cost grants, transition to permanent
housing assistance, and homeless prevention assistance.
Affordable Housing Program
Program
Purpose:
The purpose of the Affordable Housing Program is to provide
technical assistance and financial resources to low/moderate income
(LMI) residents so that they can purchase or improve a home.
Program Services:
Home ownership (down payment assistance and home counseling),
development subsidies (multi-family/single-family), substantial
rehabilitation, abatement of housing lead hazards services, single-family
rehabilitation, repair/architectural modification grants, weatherization
grants, urgent repair grants, hearing impaired aides installed, and water
quality program.
