Franklin County supports efforts to help families in our community prepare their children to be ready to learn and succeed in school. Columbus Kids wants every child to enter kindergarten ready to do well in school. That's why our new, community-wide partnership is offering free Learning Checkups to all children two and a half to four years of age in the Columbus City Schools district. We're reaching out to as many children as possible to get them off to a good start. And you can help.
Search Institute has identified forty building blocks of healthy development-known as Developmental Assets-that help young children grow up healthy, caring, and responsible. See how many you can use with your child. For more information: www.search-institute.org/downloads.
