Become a Work Experience Program Employer Sponsor Site
The purpose of the Work Experience Program (WEP) is to allow trainees the opportunity to utilize existing skills and gain new skills, to allow trainees the opportunity to be productive, and to expand the availability of public service opportunities with a long-term goal of increasing self-sufficiency.
WEP trainees are matched to participating sponsors based on work interest and employer requirements/availability. Businesses who are WEP sponsors become part of the solution by helping the community meet its economic development goals of full employment, and in helping trainees gain the self-confidence and skills they need to achieve their employment goals.
