Emergency Management and Homeland Security
The Franklin County Emergency Management & Homeland Security Office coordinates countywide emergency and disaster planning, education, warning, response and recovery to minimize the adverse impact on area residents and property.
Please include the siren location (or two nearest intersecting streets to your location) and the nature of the problem.
Sirens are tested Wednesday at 12:00 noon, weather permitting. Sirens sound for 20 seconds, stop for 40 seconds, sound for 20 seconds, then stop completely.
President Bush's April 24th disaster declaration authorized federal assistance for the March 7-9, 2008 severe snow storm. The deadline for applications expired May 24, 2008. Please call if you have any questions or to add your name to our files for future declaration notifications.
