Background: The Franklin County EITC Coalition provides free tax preparation for hardworking individuals and families with household incomes less than $40,000 at many sites around Franklin County. The coalition also connects people with community resources and financial education opportunities. In 2006, the coalition helped more than 1,700 households receive over $2.2 million.

Coalition members include The City of Columbus, Franklin County, United Way of Central Ohio, the Internal Revenue Service, the Children’s Defense Fund, and FIRSTLINK.
