Funding provided by Commissioners will assist TECH CORPS Ohio in doubling their capacity for after school programs and summer activities for young people and will provide laptops and carts, computer software, and a mobile learning lab.
“Our investment in TECH CORPS Ohio is really an investment in the bright and talented youth in Franklin County,” said Commission President Marilyn Brown. “Working in tandem with TECH CORPS Ohio, our youth will be better prepared to pursue exciting careers in the field of technology.”
TECH CORPS is the leading national nonprofit mobilizing technology volunteers into schools, offering tech support and teacher training. TECH CORPS Ohio its local affiliate is dedicated to improving K-12 education at the grassroots level by helping educators and students effectively use technology in their schools.
