Columbus, OH – The Franklin County commissioners will mark the celebration of “Community Development Week” (April 12th through April 18th) by traveling to Gahanna tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday, April 13th) to present a check for $250,000 to the president of the Gahanna City Council. This money comes out of Franklin County’s Community Development Block Grant funding and has been earmarked to assist Gahanna with their Olde Gahanna Streetscape Improvement Project, which is one element in their larger Creekside Redevelopment Project.

This ceremony will take place at the Creekside Park stage area with participation of the following dignitaries: Franklin County Commissioners Arlene Shoemaker and Mary Jo Kilroy, Gahanna City Council President Debra Payne, Gahanna Development Director Sadicka White, and Mr. Thomas Leach, Director of the Ohio HUD Field Office.

This ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 p.m. In event of inclement weather, this event will be held at the Gahanna Convention & Visitors Bureau, 116 Mill Street (across the street from the park).
