The Franklin County Board of Commissioners is highly disappointed that the Professional Guild of Ohio walked away from the bargaining table at 6:00 p.m. this evening.

The Commissioners urge the Union to return to the table.  The Children Services' management and independent mediators were prepared to work throughout the night to avoid an unnecessary strike.

The Commissioners regret that this lack of communication at the bargaining table could result in the interruption of important services to children and the loss of wages to striking employees.
