COMMISSIONERS LAUNCH WEBCAM FOR NEW COURTS BUILDING

If you have traveled to the south end of downtown Columbus recently, surely you have noticed the construction activity and imposing facility emerging from the ground on the corner of High and Mound Streets that will become the new home for the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. With the launch of a new online camera, residents can watch their new courthouse come to life... in 15-minute increments from the comfort of their own computers anytime of the day or night.

The webcam, installed by Earthcam, Inc., is now available on the Commissioners' website. Once you are on the Commissioners' page, click the "New Courts Building Updates" link on the right side of the page and you will see a webcam link. The webcam snaps a picture every 15 minutes, keeps a log of all of the pictures taken and the weather conditions at the time of the photo.

The new courthouse remains on-schedule and on-budget with construction scheduled for completion in November 2010.
