Summer Youth Works is an employment and training program of the Central Ohio Workforce Investment Corporation/JOBLeaders that empowers youth and young adults to develop life-long learning, earning, and serving skills. Nearly 1200 school age youth and 128 young adults are receiving work experience and training throughout the Columbus and Franklin County community.

More than 1200 youth chose to work this summer and now that they have been on the job for a few weeks, it’s time to find out how they are doing.
The Central Ohio Workforce Investment Corporation was created in 2004 as the local administrative and fiscal entity for the Workforce Investment Act. Funding, distributed to various contracted vendors, is used to provide employment and training services to adults and youth.
