The Franklin County Board of Commissioners’ weekly briefing meeting, normally scheduled for Thursdays at 8:30 a.m. will be moved to 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 26. The change will allow the commissioners to attend the Columbus Downtown Commission’s monthly meeting, which is being held to provide recommendations for the construction of a new facility to replace the aging Franklin County Hall of Justice.

The Downtown Commission’s meeting will be held on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at 109 North Front Street in the first floor hearing room.

The commissioners’ briefing is a public meeting that allows the commissioners, county staff, community members and representatives from outside organizations to discuss items on the agenda for General Session, which is held each Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ hearing room (373 S. High St., 26th Floor).
