WHAT: Groundbreaking for the Darbydale Wastewater Collection System & Treatment Plant
The Franklin County Commissioners will be joined by Pleasant Township trustees in the official, groundbreaking ceremony for the Darbydale Wastewater Collection System and Treatment Plant.
The $6.1 million project will bring a “state-of-the-art” treatment facility to the area and will connect 325 homes, 450 mobile homes, an elementary school and area businesses to the new sanitary sewer system.
This project addresses longstanding health and environmental issues affecting the residents of the Darbydale community and the ecological health of the Big Darby.
The anticipated construction completion date is August 1, 2005 .
