MORPC's Riverfest on Tour! Grand Finale features Free Hands-On Activities for Kids Scheduled July 29 at Genoa Park and COSI
Riverfest, a service of the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC), will conclude its month-long celebration of water, Ohio's greatest resource, with the annual Grand Finale on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 5 p.m. -10 p.m. The event will be held at Genoa Park in Downtown Columbus in partnership with the Center for Science and Industry (COSI) and WaterFire.
Activities during the evening include free canoe rides on the Scioto River from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., free music and entertainment from 6:30 p.m.-10 p.m. in Genoa Park, as well as various hands-on exhibits from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Inside COSI individuals can enjoy Family Friday Night for $9.00 a person, where a film festival will take place inside the Extreme Screen Theater with movies focused on water-related topics. The event will conclude by watching fire dance on the Scioto River as Dwight Lenox & Lenox Avenue Express Performs.
