I would like to invite you to participate in an air quality media day on Wednesday, October 6 with the Mid–Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) staff. Meteorologists Alan Chan and Jessica Johnson from Sonoma Technology, Inc. (MORPC's air quality forecasting consultant) will be in town, and we would like to stop by your studio or office to discuss the following issues to keep you informed of the latest information:

• Central Ohio air quality trends
• The methodology we use to create daily air pollution forecasts and issue Air Quality Alerts to protect public health
• Outreach and data resources you can use
• How we can be more improve our process

For those of you who are new to the central Ohio region, this is a great opportunity to meet everyone involved in monitoring central Ohio's air quality levels; and for those of you who participated in our last media visit back in 2007, this would be a great opportunity to touch base again. The meet and greet is informal; however, we are also available for an interview upon your request.

We are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6 to visit your location – feel free to invite others. Please reply to me by September 24 with a preferred timeframe (i.e. 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.), and I will reply to confirm availability.
