SWACO reports a record of 15,126 tons of recyclables collected at the SWACO drop off recycling locations in Franklin County last year. That is a 16.3% increase over 2008 totals (2,128 additional tons). Last year also saw a new monthly record of 1,346 tons (set in November 2009). Since 2004, recycling at the SWACO drop off locations has increased by 90% (7,948 tons collected in 2004, 15,126 tons collected in 2009).
