Peg has worked with Judge Brown since he took the bench as a Common Pleas General Division judge in July 2005. As Judge Brown’s bailiff, she wrangled prosecutors, public defenders, private attorneys, probation officers, and others every day to keep the docket running smoothly. Before becoming a public servant, Peg ran a company with her sister writing textbooks. Peg has also worked for small and large law firms and in the publishing field.
As the Director of Special Operations for the probate court, Peg spends much of her time attending meetings and then writing about those meetings for Judge Brown. The rest of her time, she spends scheduling and planning meetings and sending “All Staff” emails. Despite all of the time devoted to meetings and emails, Peg manages the administrative functions of the court.
Peg is an active member of her church and its choir. Peg also sits on the board of Alvis House. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, playing the piano, spending time with her family, collecting teapots, and driving her aqua and brown scooter around town.
A little known fact about Peg is that she likes to dress up in fringe and a pink cowboy hat to sing. No, not just in her living room, but as part of the Cindy Baker Band. Make sure to ask Peg about the band’s next public appearance!
