Accounting Department
| The Accounting Department's responsibilities include: the review and acceptance for filing of fiduciary inventories, accountings, waivers of accounts, certificates of termination, certificates of notice of probate of wills and Ohio Estate Tax Returns. Other duties include the issuance of reminder letters and Court Ordered Appearances to aid in keeping the Court's docket current. Due dates may be obtained for inventories, accounts' status letters and guardian reports by calling this department at 614-462-3844. |
| Legal Practice in the Probate Court |
Legal practice in the Probate Court is restricted by law to attorneys who are licensed by the Supreme Court of Ohio. Due to the complexity of the law and desire to avoid costly errors, most individuals who have filings before the Court are represented by an attorney. Court employees are prohibited by statute from practicing law and cannot give legal advice. |
