Pleadings accepted by mail must be in proper form as mandated by Ohio Revised Code § 2109.021 and conform to the Rules regarding pleadings and to the Local Rule requiring a case number on every page (front and back). If a copy is to be returned, a self addressed stamped envelope must be included. If payment of Court costs or fees is necessary, personal checks, credit and/or debit cards are not accepted; payment must be made by certified check, cashier's check, money order or attorney's check. |

After letters of appointment are issued to a fiduciary, the court shall accept filings by mail in the matters of estates, guardianship, or trusts, unless the court in writing notifies the fiduciary or attorney of record that a personal appearance is necessary, or a personal appearance is otherwise required by law. An improper or incomplete filing shall be rejected, and that court shall return it to the sender, and impose a cost of two dollars and fifty cents per improper or incomplete filing, chargeable against the estate. |
