I Need Housing/Shelter

If you are in a housing/shelter crisis:

  • 24/7 intake for single men and single women is done over the phone by Handson Central Ohio. Call 888.474.3587 for intake.
  • Intake for families and children is done at the YWCA Family Center, 900 Harvey Ct., 614.253.7970

For the purposes of this page, we divide housing into the following categories:

  • Shelters
Free places to stay if you have nowhere else to go, shelters are not intended for long-term stays.
  • Supportive & Transitional Housing
A combination of housing and supportive social services (counseling, education, AOD treatment, etc.) that can be short-term up to permanent.
  • Low Income & Section 8 Housing
Long-term housing for those on low or limited income who need subsidies to assist with rent payments.
