I Need Housing/Shelter
If you are in a housing/shelter crisis:
- 24/7 intake for single men and single women is done over the phone by Handson Central Ohio. Call 888.474.3587 for intake.
- Intake for families and children is done at the YWCA Family Center, 900 Harvey Ct., 614.253.7970
For the purposes of this page, we divide housing into the following categories:
- Shelters
Free places to stay if you have nowhere else to go, shelters are not intended for long-term stays. - Supportive & Transitional Housing
A combination of housing and supportive social services (counseling, education, AOD treatment, etc.) that can be short-term up to permanent. - Low Income & Section 8 Housing
Long-term housing for those on low or limited income who need subsidies to assist with rent payments.

You may be eligible for assistance through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. To see if you qualify, contact the Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services online or by phone at 614.233.2000, or the Ohio Benefit Bank.
