Real Estate Tax
1st half collection - Each year tax bills are mailed in mid-December and payments are due on January 20th (or the first following business day if the 20th falls on a weekend or a holiday) each year.
The due date for the first-half 2007 real estate collection is January 22, 2008.
2nd half collection- Each year tax bills are mailed in mid-May and payments are due on June 20th (or the first following business day if the 20th falls on a weekend or a holiday) each year.
The due date for the second-half 2006 real estate collection was June 20, 2007. The due date for the second-half 2007 real estate collection will be June 20, 2008.
Please note: The Treasurer's Office collects real estate taxes for the previous year during the current year. This is also known as arrears. For example: Taxes collected in 2007 represent the real estate tax obligations from 2006.
Manufactured Home Tax
1st half collection - Each year tax bills are mailed in late January. The payment due date must be on March 1st (or the first following business day if the 1st falls on a weekend or a holiday) each year.
The due date for the first-half 2007 Manufactured Home Tax is March 1, 2008
2nd half collection - Each year tax bills are mailed in early July and payments are due on July 31st (or the first following business day if the 31st falls on a weekend or a holiday) each year.
The deadline for the second-half 2008 Manufactured Home Tax is July 31 , 2008
Personal Property Tax
Each year, businesses that have taxable personal property located entirely in Franklin County must file the following forms in duplicate with the County Auditor between February 15th and April 30th each year:
- Form 920 - County Return of Taxable Property
- Form 921 - Ohio Balance Sheet, in duplicate with the Franklin County Auditor.
The due date for the first-half 2008 personal property collection is April 30, 2008. An extension of this filing deadline to June 15th may be requested and granted by the County Auditor. One-half of the total tax must be paid within 5 days of the time of filing.
The County Treasurer will mail a bill in late August for the second-half personal property taxes that are due. Each year the payment due date for the second half personal property collection is September 20th (or the first following business day if the 20th falls on a weekend or a holiday).
The due date for the second half 2007 personal property collection was September 20, 2007.
The due date for the second half 2008 personal property collection is September 20, 2008.
