WHEN: Friday, May 5, 2006 at 2:00pm

A memorial service has been planned to celebrate the life of former Franklin County Treasurer Bobbie Hall who served for 17 years from 1984 until 2001. Treasurer Hall passed away Saturday in Australia where she had lived for several years. The service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 5, 2006 in the County Courthouse, 373 S. High Street, Auditorium. Current and former employees and county officials including former Treasurers Buck Rinehart and Wade Steen will be on hand for the service which is open to the public. The county treasurer’s office will be closed during the ceremony.

A joint statement by employees in the Treasurer’s office said: “Bobbie Hall was a major figure in Franklin County government. It is only fitting that we honor this grand lady here at the Courthouse, where she gave so much of her time and her special self to Franklin County and its citizens.”
