VSC MISSION:

Provide advice and assistance to veterans, active duty members of the Armed Forces of the United States, and their dependents in obtaining benefits and entitlements from federal, state, and local agencies; and to provide immediate financial assistance when necessary and appropriate.

The Veterans Service Commissioners meet each Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. to review and render decisions on the financial assistance applications of the prior weeks.

NEWS: Veteran services to continue to be delivered at Veterans Memorial after July 31, 2014 The Franklin County Veterans Service Commission (FCVSC) will continue operations at Veterans Memorial (300 W. Broad Street) until we relocate to Memorial Hall (280 E. Broad Street) later this year. The relocation of our operations will help to make way for a new Ohio Veterans Memorial and Museum and will provide FCVSC with a new space built to suit the specific needs of the veterans and community we serve, including an interior square footage of 12,730. - nearly double what we currently have - which will be fully accessible, have a number of restrooms and offices and meeting rooms, will offers free parking to FCVSC visitors and is very easily accessible by public transportation.

Veteran's Benefit Specialists are available Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the exception of Tuesday's, which maybe limited at the East and Northland Opportunity Centers to accept financial assistance applications and veteran's claims. Appointments may also be scheduled, but on a case by case basis. You are encouraged to call prior to your planned arrival.
