




| President of the Commission: Gary M Pfaff serves as President of the Franklin County Veterans Service Commission representing the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). He served in the United States Air National Guard/Air Force from 1965 to 1970 serving as E-4. While serving his country he was awarded the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, AF Longevity Service Award, Small Arms Expert Medal, Ohio Award of Merit (5yrs.), Korean Service and Defense Medals. He currently holds memberships with the following Veterans Organization VFW post 9473. He serves on the VFW State Color Guard Military Funeral Detail, Chairman of the Safety & Drug, VFW Chief of Staff Franklin County Council and District 11 By-Laws, VFW State Legislative Chairman Franklin County and District 11 Service Chairman, VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship Fund Chairman, VFW State Convention Chairman, Military Order of the Cooties (Hospital Unit - Honor Degree) and is a member of the 32nd Degree Mason Lodge 761. Commissioner Pfaff grew up on the West Side of Columbus and now resides in Reynoldsburg. Commissioner Pfaff retired as a lineman from AEP and has served on the Veterans Service Commission since 2005. Commissioner Pfaff was re-appointed in 2006 and his term will expire in 2011. |
