Franklin County is here to support our residents when you've fallen on hard times or are facing an emergency. Our emergency assistance programs are here to help families stabilize, move out of poverty, and become self-sufficient. Find out below how to apply today.

How to Apply

The first thing you'll need is the application for emergency assistance. Download the application and then you can return it by e-mail, fax, mail, or in person.

What You Need to Apply

As part of the application, you will need to submit verification documents. The specific documents accepted are listed in the application. In general, we will need to verify:

  • Who is in the household
  • All household income
  • Basic information such as identity, Social Security Number(s), and Birth Verification(s)

Submit Your Application

You can submit your application in one of four ways: e-mail, fax, mail, or in-person.

Email your application and verification documents as an attachment to franklin-cdjfs-agencyprc@jfs.ohio.gov

Mail your application and a copy of your verification documents to the following address:
