The Franklin County & Columbus Medical Reserve Corps (FC&C MRC) provides medical and nonmedical volunteers to public health threats, public health emergencies, major emergencies, major planned events, and disasters; when requested by local officials.
Any adult capable of passing a background check and assisting in volunteer missions can join FC&C MRC. We need both medical and non-medical volunteers.

Non-medical and medical volunteers are required to complete the orientation at the link below. Medical volunteers are required to maintain their respective licenses. A medical volunteer may become a non-medical volunteer if their license is expired.
Franklin County Emergency Management & Homeland Security hosts numerous trainings on a variety of subjects that would greatly benefit volunteers. Some courses qualify for continuing education credits for some professions. Such fields covered include incident command structure, points of dispensing, family assistance center operations, PPE donations management operations, medical responses to disaster situations, pediatric considerations for disaster response, and other important topics.
