Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)Program
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program helps communities by giving them money to improve neighborhoods and support people in need. The program focuses on:
- Helping people with low or moderate incomes
- Fixing or cleaning up areas of slums or blight
- Solving urgent problems that could harm people’s health or safety
In Franklin County, the CDBG program has helped with things like emergency home repairs, helping people buy homes, small business loans, keeping people in their homes, and building sidewalks and other important projects in neighborhoods that need it most.
To learn more about the CDBG program, you can visit the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s CDBG website.
