Published on March 20, 2025

Columbus, OH – The Franklin County Office on Aging (FCOA), in collaboration with the Franklin County Board of Commissioners, is proud to present the iCARE: Caregiver Legal Clinic, a special event designed to provide caregivers with essential legal information, community support, and networking opportunities. The event will take place on March 20, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the gallery at Champion’s Golf Course (3900 Westerville Rd, Columbus, OH 43224).

Caregivers play a vital role in supporting their loved ones, yet they often navigate complex legal and financial challenges with little guidance. The iCARE: Caregiver Legal Clinic aims to bridge this gap by offering an informative and engaging experience featuring:

  • Understanding Legal Matters: Expert Discussion - Experts will discuss key legal considerations for caregivers, including estate planning, power of attorney, and guardianship.

  • Community Roundtable: A space for caregiver to share experiences, ask questions, and gain valuable insights from professionals and peers.

  • Networking & Refreshments: Attendees can connect with other caregivers, legal experts, and community organizations in a supportive environment.

“This event is part of our ongoing commitment to uplifting caregivers by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and support they need,” said Chanda Wingo, Director of the Franklin County Office on Aging. “Caregivers are the backbone of our community, and it is essential that they have access to the legal resources that will help them protect themselves and their loved ones.”

The iCARE: Caregiver Legal Clinic is free to attend, but RSVP is required. Participants can register using the registration link. For more information, follow @officeonaging on social media and join us in empowering caregivers with the resources they deserve.
