Franklin County Board of Commissioners
The Franklin County Board of Commissioners approved a $100,000 sub-award to Jewish Family Services for its Community Renewal Enrichment Through Work program, known as CREW.
CREW assigns career counselors to Franklin County residents at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, helping them build individualized employment plans and remove barriers to work. During the last program period, 49 residents enrolled and 40 attained employment at an average hourly wage of $18.40.
The new agreement will serve a minimum of 45 job seekers and connect them with employment opportunities paying no less than $15 per hour.
