Franklin County Board of Commissioners
Drivers in Franklin County will see road work across the county this year as the Board of Commissioners approved a $5,580,720.28 contract for the 2026 Franklin County Resurfacing Program on April 21.
The contract was awarded to The Shelly Company following a competitive bidding process with a bid opening on March 31. County Engineer Adam Fowler's office presented the resolution through representative Nick Soulas.
The resurfacing program is an annual effort that addresses wear on county-maintained roads. Specific roads scheduled for resurfacing in 2026 will be identified as project planning advances.
The Board voted unanimously to approve the contract.
