The Franklin County Board of Commissioners approved a $45,150 service agreement extension with CredibleMind, Inc. to continue operating a free digital behavioral health platform for residents.
Since launching in September 2021, the CredibleMind platform has drawn more than 44,000 visitors. Nearly 24,000 residents have completed its online mental health assessment. Users have researched more than 188 mental health and wellness topics, with depression, anxiety, and self-care ranking as the most common.
The platform connects residents with national and local resources through apps, podcasts, videos, and books covering over 230 emotional wellness and mental health topics. All resources are evidence-based.
Carmen Barnes, Chief Operating Officer of Job and Family Services, presented the resolution at the April 28 General Session. She noted that digital platforms can increase accessibility, reduce cost barriers, and provide anonymity that helps reduce stigma around seeking help.
