Franklin County Board of Commissioners

The Franklin County Board of Commissioners approved $500,000 on May 5 to fund transitional housing and supportive services for residents experiencing homelessness or at risk of it.

Resolution 277-26 authorizes a funding agreement with the Kaleidoscope Youth Center for its Transitional Housing Supportive Services program. The contract runs from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027, with the Board ratifying prior actions taken under the agreement to allow the effective date to hold.

Under the agreement, the center provides supportive services that engage individuals experiencing homelessness and connect them to appropriate community resources. Funding comes from the county's general revenue.

The investment reflects the Board's stated commitment to supporting Franklin County residents experiencing homelessness and reducing housing instability across the county.

Resolution 277-26 passed with unanimous approval.
