Franklin County residents searching for court records online will soon have a better experience, and the county is moving to make that happen well ahead of a federal deadline.
The Board of Commissioners approved Resolution 396-26 at the June 16, 2026 General Session, authorizing a $35,100 contract with MAPSYS to update the Probate Court's publicly facing online case and marriage search pages for compliance with new federal ADA standards. The deadline for compliance is April 2027.
As part of the work, MAPSYS will update the software connecting the court's current case management system to those public-facing pages, ensuring the search tools meet accessibility requirements for people with disabilities. Kelly Green, Chief Magistrate of the Franklin County Probate Court, presented the item and noted the updates are designed to be completed well in advance of the federal deadline.
The contract takes effect upon execution and expires upon completion of services.
The Board voted unanimously to approve the resolution.
